Welcome to A.R.G.A, a community based vibrant organization of Guineans and Americans based in Atlanta, Georgia. I would like to personally thank you for visiting us and encourage you to share your thoughts, insights, and proactive contribution to our organization.
ARGA was founded in 1994. It is built on a philosophy of sacrifice, solidarity, and continuous hard work.
Today our membership, vision, and social agenda is growing. Our reputation is gaining widespread influence around the neighboring states of Tennessee, Alabama, the Carolinas and the rest of the nation.
We are the voice of the Guinean community in Georgia. We continue to provide financial, legal, medical, and cultural assistance to our members. On numerous occasions, we have provided humanitarian assistance to our brothers and sisters in Guinea and America. In 2001, we donated food, medicine and clothes to our brothers and sisters affected by rebel attacks in Guinea. We also donated to the American Red Cross to help the families affected by the September 11th attacks in New York, the Pentagon and Pennsylvania, inDecember 2007 we send in partnership with medShare Internationl 40 ft container of medical Equipment to Guinea to help hospital.
Our goal for establishing this website is to introduce and link our association to the community of people and places around the world, and to serve as a communication tool to share our ideas and achievements. We invite Guineans and Americans to join us in building a bridge of love and understanding as we make a giant stride into the 21st century.
On a final note, I am challenging you to make this website a place of communication and development; a map of cultural direction and learning; a place to exchange ideas, and symbolize what it means to be Guinean. Finally, let me take this privilege to dedicate this website in honor of our friend and late brother, Alhaji Sulaiman Bah, who guided and taught us about the strength of unity, the value of hard work, and faith in God and ourselves.
