The Implementation of a Community Development Life Cycle Program

A.R.G.A. is an Non-Profit- Organization that is trying to establish an Community Center for cultural unity for the people of Guinea in the state of GA and the rest of the United States of America.

Mission: To purchase a facility to serve as a cultural and faithful center for the Guinean-American community.

How can this be done? Here's how:
By working alone, we cannot achieve the goal of getting a place, but if we work together we can surely do it. Here's how:

Goal: $190,000 to purchase the facility.
At this time the Executive Committee of ARGA has decided that each adult Guinean should contribute $725.00 from January 1st, 2007 to December 31st 2009. If every one pays this, it would allow us to collect $95,000.00 per year for a total of $190,000.00 within the two year period.
Currently $45,000 has been paid. At this point we control the facility and we are working towards finishing the payment of the facility. Now, we have to understand that the $190,000 is just the purchase amount. We will need to invest another $50,000 to renovate and enlarge the place.

Advantages of having our own place:
• Once you pay the amount listed above, members can have as many events as they want without having to pay $500 or more for other locations.

• When you have an event, you don't have to worry about a limit on how long you can stay in the place. We can use the facility for a school to teach kids our languages, culture and religion.

• We can use the facility to hold small events, meetings and a place to congregate.

• This place is easily accessible from 2 major highways via I-285 and I-20.

• We no longer have to use our apartments to hold an event inconveniencing our neighbors.

• The future Community Center will have an infracture that will consist of the following offices and amenities to support the faith-based initiative: Community Credit Union, Family Health Center, Kids Mentoring / Computer Center, Public Space, Distance Learning / Training Center, Administration Offices, Commercial Kitchen, Community Meeting Hall, Child Care Center and Small Business Incubator.
